Treatment Goals

Ian believes that recovery begins with a 'therapeutic alliance' in which the patient and doctor build a trusting relationship. Through this relationship, we develop an understanding of your problems, sometimes looking at past significant relationships and how they influence your current life.

Recovery develops through being heard, understood and cared about.

Sometimes it is necessary to take medication and use other treatments such as behaviour therapy as well.
